How to take

Suggested Use: This product was made for infants 6 to 12 months. Shake well before use. Once daily, dispense up to 60 drops (approx. 2.5 pumps✝) into your infant's food or formula. 

 

Please avoid direct dropper contact to the skin or mouth in order to prevent product contamination and damage to the dropper.

 

(✝1 pump typically fills the dropper about ½ of the way.)

Easy to use!

First time trying these vitamin drops. It's only been about a month of using so all I really know is that my son loves them, he doesn't mind the taste at all, and he actually seems to look forward to taking them. I purchased these because my son is almost 1 and with winter approaching I want to keep him as healthy as possible and if he were to get sick hopefully this will kickstart his immune system and fight it off quicker. Why is this products now recommended for ages 6-12 months?

Based on our ongoing research into making the best possible products, we have determined that it is best to update our age recommendations for supplementing with infants going forward. The new suggested use for our infant products will be for infants aged 6-12 months, as the health considerations of infants up to six months are so much more variable and nuanced. If you are still interested in giving this product to your child, we recommend speaking with your pediatrician, physician, or healthcare professional to help you to determine if the product is suitable for your infant.

Will these Vitamin C drops help if my infant is sick?

Vitamin C is well-known for its antioxidant properties, and while supplying your body with adequate Vitamin C on a regular basis is important for overall health, there is no conclusive evidence that Vitamin C on its own can cure a sickness. Ultimately, as an essential nutrient, Vitamin C is a necessary part of your diet regardless of how you feel.

Are these Vitamin C drops safe for infants?

Our Infant Liquid Vitamin C drops are suggested for infants 6 to 12 months, based on the FDA’s recommended intake of 50 mg Vitamin C daily for that age bracket. For the sake of labeling simplicity, the FDA’s Daily Value recommendations define infants as 6-12 months; however, the Recommended Daily Allowances (RDAs) for Vitamin C, established by the Institute of Medicine: Food and Nutrition Board, offers a more granular breakdown of RDAs, broken down further by age. You can view those RDAs on the National Institutes of Health fact sheet for Vitamin C. Ultimately, in order to make the best health decisions possible for your little one, we recommend speaking with your pediatrician, physician, or healthcare professional to best determine what dose is best for your child.
