Q: How should I use this? Can I take it with drinks or food?
A: We recommend that everyone to start ½, or even ¼, dose to see how their body responds. Since every body is different, you may see that you do better with a smaller dosage. Your physician or health care professional can help you find the proper dosage.
Our Multivitamin can be taken on an empty stomach or with food, or with other liquids or juice.
Q: What does the flavor come from?
A: Our Liquid Morning Multivitamins get their great taste from Non-GMO, Vegan, Natural Raspberry Flavor, which comes from raspberries. The process by which we manufacture our flavor makes sure that there is no MSG, GMOs, aspartame, glycol and propylene, which are the main culprits in toxic flavors. When searching for ingredients to put in natural and dietary supplements, it is important for a company to always look to ensure those standards are met.
Q: I see there is NO SUGAR in the vitamins, which is great! What makes it sweet then?
A: Great question! We pride ourselves in being one of the only liquid vitamins that does not use fructose as its base! Instead we use Triple UV Deionized Water. The sweetness comes from natural vegetable glycerin which is known for its sweet taste while still being very low in the glycemic index. Noni juice also has a natural sweetness to it. When tested by a third party lab, our vitamins were confirmed to have ZERO sugars per serving :)
Q: Can children use it?
A: Yes, children, aged two and up, can use our formula. However, before you give the Multivitamin to your children, we highly recommend that you show our formula to your physician, pediatrician or healthcare professional to see if our formula is right for your child. If it is, ask your healthcare professional to assess what the accurate dosage would be for your child. Each child is unique and different, and we want to make sure that they receive the best care possible!
Q: How can I travel with your vitamins?
A: We are currently working on a travel size which should be available soon. Meanwhile, many customers ration the appropriate amount of liquid they need for their trip and put it in a lunch box with an ice pack until they can refrigerate it when they arrive at their destination. Pack-It lunch boxes are a great option as they stay cold for the entire day.
Q: Why doesn't your morning vitamin formula include IRON?
A: Great question! We decided not to include iron because of its constipating effects. In addition, many of our customers desired a formula without iron and if a customer does require iron for their diet, they are supplementing it with a stand alone iron supplement.
Q: I’m not feeling a difference when taking this, why?
A: Many of our customers see immediate physical results, in energy or improvements in hair, skin and nails. However, some of our customers don’t feel any difference at all. Many changes the multivitamin will have on you will be strictly internal and show results in bloodwork or better digestion. We have seen that those who are more vitamin deficient experience greater positive results right away. Regardless, please reach out if you are not satisfied with the product.
Q: What if I forgot to refrigerate my Multivitamin?
A: Some customers have forgotten to refrigerate their Multis after opening. We have done testing on the multivitamins and multiminerals: results suggest they are good for 7 days out of the refrigerator. We like to err on the side of safety and say 5 days.
Q: Are the bottles BPA free?
A: Yes, the brown and white bottles we use for our Multis are BPA free.
Q: I have MTHFR gene variant(s). Is this product safe for me?
A: Navigating B-vitamins and MTHFR can be tricky! While there is a considerable amount of information coming out on genetic variations and how they affect our biochemistry and health, the MTHFR deficiency is not yet fully understood, including how various B-vitamins affect any given individual. Elevated homocysteine levels, often caused by the MTHFR gene variants, is associated with deficiencies in B9 (Folate), B6 and B12.
The primary concern for those with MTHFR gene variant(s) is Folate (vitamin B9). People with MTHFR gene variant(s) need to avoid synthetic forms of folate (B9), like Folic Acid. There seems to be some evidence that Folinic Acid is safe for those with the less severe MTHFR gene variants, while preliminary studies show that those with more severe MTHFR variants may require 5-MTHF (Methylated Folate) supplementation and/or treatment with betaine (trimethylglycine) to aid in metabolizing homocysteine.
We have six products in our line of supplements that contain some form of folate: all three of our Morning Multivitamins, our Kid’s Multivitamin Gummies, Biotin Gummies and our B-Complex Spray.
Of those products, the Liquid Multivitamins Essentials+ (Fruit Punch and Strawberry) & Organic B-Complex have Folinic Acid since methylated folate is not stable in liquid formulas. Folinic Acid is suitable for many with MTHFR. If you are unsure whether or not you can use Calcium Folinate or Folinic Acid, please speak with your physician.
We advise those with the MTHFR gene variants against using the Liquid Morning Multivitamin in Raspberry flavor, as this version currently has non-methylated folate which is not suitable for this with MTHFR. We do plan on updating this formula to have Folinic Acid with the next batch going to production very soon. However, this new formula is not yet available. (If you are interested in this product, please check with us before ordering to ensure the batches have been updated.)
Our Children's Multivitamin Gummies, as well as our Biotin Gummies, contain Methylated Folate (as Calcium L-5-methyl-THF). Methylated folate is considered safest for those with MTHFR, especially for people who have multiple MTHFR variants.
The remaining products in our line of supplements do not have B9. However, we do have a number of products which contain other B-vitamins. We created a spreadsheet to help our customers review all our products with B-vitamins and their forms, so you can make the best choices for your health. Please reach out to our customer care team for access to this spreadsheet. Generally, the vitamer of B6 that is recommended for those with MTHFR variants is Pyridoxal-5-Phosphate (P5P) and the vitamer of B12 that is recommended for those with MTHFR variants is Methylcobalamin. Please consult with your healthcare professional to determine what is best for you.
In general, when starting any new health and wellness supplement, you should check with your physician or healthcare professional to make sure the supplement is suitable for you and your health. This is especially true when there is the added complexity of the MTHFR gene variants. We encourage you to partner with your healthcare professional to determine the best course of action.
