GET STARTEDEstablishing a consistent morning and nighttime routine might sound simple — but it can actually be one of the most transformative tools in your personal growth journey.
In Episode 2 of the Move Forward Every Day with MaryRuth’s podcast, MaryRuth is joined by her longtime executive coach, Eric Bigger, to explore how daily rituals anchor your energy, focus your mind, and fuel self-love and self-discipline — which are more intertwined than you might think!
In this podcast, Eric shares his personal morning routine, which takes less than 25 minutes and includes prayer, breathwork, affirmations, vitamins, and light movement. But even on busy days, he notes that this routine can be done quickly between 9 to 11 minutes.
Regardless of how much time you choose to dedicate, finding a morning routine that works for you and you will actually stick to each day is the most important.
What makes Eric’s approach unique is the intentional simplicity, proving that effective routines don’t need to be overwhelming or time-consuming. “Less is more,” he explains, as long as the practice is consistent and aligned with your current season of life.
One of the most powerful moments in this episode is Eric’s description of breathwork as “prayer for the body.”
He dives into how this practice calms him and grounds his mind, helping him prepare to send daily voice-memo prayers to his partner. It’s a beautiful example of how presence and connection start from within.
The conversation also covers the importance of nighttime routines, especially in rewiring the subconscious before sleep. MaryRuth is also a big proponent of a morning and nighttime routine — which are how the Liquid Morning Multivitamin and Liquid Nighttime Multimineral are meant to be anchors in each of these routines.
Eric shares affirmations he likes to use during his nighttime routine, like “Every day, in every way, I’m getting better and better,” and discusses using whisper prayers, gratitude practices, and binaural beats to close the day with intention.
MaryRuth and Eric also explore the idea that self-discipline is the highest form of self-love. Through repetition, the power of goodness, and accountability, they reflect on how daily habits not only boost productivity but also create emotional resilience and stronger relationships.
Many of us have goals we want to accomplish, but we have to have the self-discipline to follow through with the daily tasks to accomplish these goals. By doing these things and utilizing discipline to complete what we say we are going to do each day, we are actually showing love to ourselves.
Whether it’s sending a daily prayer, doing 400 (or 5!) crunches, or simply committing to 10 minutes of quiet time, these micro habits have macro impact.
This episode is packed with actionable insights, emotional reflections, and wellness practices that anyone can start using today.
