Q: Where are the D3 and K2 sourced from?
A: Our D3 is sourced from wild-crafted, Non-GMO, Vegan Lichen. We derive our K2 from Natto, a fermented soybean product which is a traditional Japanese food and the highest food source of natural K2. The process of fermentation removes soy from the product. Please read the 5-step process, from the supplier, regarding the fermentation to a soy-free Natto.
Step 1: Infusion of Non-GMO Soybeans, purified water and Natto strains of K2.
Step 2: Automated control of fermentation, with 16 fermentation parameters that are fully controlled through the automated system.
Step 3: After 24 hours of fermentation, we gain highly reactive raw material that the Natto strains release; NattoZyme™ and Extra NattoK2™.
Step 4: High speed of centrifuge, this rids of impurities thoroughly to ensure highly active feature of raw materials.
Step 5: Ceramic Membrane: This process rids the fermented raw materials of any bacteria and/or impurities.
Q: Why the two together?
A: Vitamins D and K2 work with one another to maintain control over calcium levels in your body. Vitamin D controls the absorption of calcium into the blood. Vitamin K2 controls where that calcium goes. Taking too much vitamin D3 without getting the right amount of vitamin K2 can lead to problems with excess calcium. If calcium isn't properly absorbed, it can cause calcium buildup/deposits in arteries and muscles.
Q: What does this product taste like?
A: There is no added flavor in our Liquid Vitamin D3+K2 Spray, though it has the light taste of olive oil, the base of the spray.
