  • Turmeric Root (Curcuma longa) is a spice that has been recognized for centuries for its many traditional uses, and, in recent years it has also been shown to support the immune system. 
  • And, although curcumin, the main compound present in turmeric, can be a notoriously difficult ingredient to absorb, piperine, the active ingredient in Black Pepper Seed (Piper nigrum), may support the bioavailability of, and thus the absorption of curcumin. 
  • We’ve also included Cassia Cinnamon Bark (Cinnamomum cassia) — the more commonly used cinnamon that you may already enjoy in your coffee, tea, or baked goods — which has been a staple in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) for a myriad of purposes!

Goes Down Easy

I've used this tincture before and it's great! For it being Turmeric, it goes down quite easy and I after a few uses I notice a difference in how my gut (all parts and pieces) feels.

Great taste, tiny bottle

I've been trying different liquid turmeric brands, and this one by far tastes the best. The bottle is TINY though, I wish it was available in larger bottles. If you were to take 3 servings a day, this bottle would only last 10 days. One serving a day would be 30 days. {The bottle says 1-3 servings a day as needed} Shipping took a full 7 days {granted there was a holiday weekend in there}, so someone needing 3 servings a day would need to order weekly in order to keep taking it timely. I filled the dropper as full as I could, and it fills a little over halfway. Counting out how many drops I could squeeze out of that {all doesn't come out when squeezing}, I got 15 drops. So two dropperfuls at normal squeezing would equal one serving, for those who are wondering. It would be a bit easier if there were a mark on the dropper, or if the dosage was listed as "dropperful" instead of "drops". Just my opinion! Since it tastes great and is easier to administer and digest, I'll try this bottle and see how it goes, maybe one serving is enough. But I would be happier if there were a larger version available, since apparently this herb only works well when taking repetitively, for an extended amount of time.

What is the content of each herb in this herbal blend?

While this is a proprietary blend (and thus we cannot disclose the amounts of each herb in the blend), this is also just a difficult question to answer! Most of our herbal products are glycerites, which means that the botanicals are steeped in glycerin to extract the beneficial constituents and compounds contained in the botanical(s). Rather than thinking of it like a recipe, where a certain amount of x is added to y, it may be easier to think of it like a tea bag steeped in hot water. The tea it produces doesn't contain what was contained in the tea bag (otherwise you're drinking small bits of whatever was in your tea bag!), but the steeping process pulls flavors, aromatics, and various compounds from the bag of tea. The process of creating a glycerite herbal product is similar to this!
