You may want to take multiple prenatal products, just to cover your bases...but doing so may mean over-supplementation of certain vitamins or minerals, which could be harmful to you or your pregnancy. You should be careful to ensure that you don’t exceed the upper limit for each of the nutrients you’re taking, and always discuss your supplements with your doctor so that you can know that you’re getting the right amount for your specific needs as individual needs may vary.

It should be noted that this formula doesn’t contain Iron, which is crucial for a healthy pregnancy. To ensure that you get the recommended amount of Iron during your pregnancy, you may want to take our Probiotic Prenatal+ or Prenatal & Postnatal Liquid Iron! The prenatal probiotic blend contains not only probiotics and other ingredients you may want during your pregnancy, but also Iron at 100% DV for adults and 67% DV for those who are pregnant and/or lactating; Or, if you prefer an Iron only option, our Prenatal & Postnatal Liquid Iron contains 100% DV for those who are pregnant and/or lactating.

We chose not to include Iron in our Prenatal & Postnatal Multivitamin formula as it is difficult to formulate in liquid form and can potentially interact with certain drugs or other dietary substances. Because of potential interactions as well as your unique health, it is important to discuss with your healthcare professional any additional medications or supplements you are taking, as well as which may be taken with or without food.

Additionally, this multivitamin does not contain Omega-3 fatty acids. Did you know that DHA, one type of omega-3, has been shown to be important for fetal development? If you find you don’t get an adequate amount of Omega-3s in your diet, you might be interested in supplementing with our Prenatal &

A search for the best ingredients

I recently became aware that almost every single vitamin product that contains B-12 is derived from Cyanocobalamin. This is a synthetic form of B-12 in which your body then converts into Methylcobalamin. However, in the process leaves trace amounts of CYANIDE in your system. Though some argue its not a high enough amount to be an issue, I believe prolonged consumption and build up is enough to be concerning. It's then I came across Mary Ruth's. This brand is one of the very few brands in which their B-12 is derived from Methylcobalamin, not Cyanocobalamin.
This product contains the necessary ingredients while leaving out the harmful ones. It tastes good, giving more of a mango flavor than it does berry.. but knowing the ingredients are safe not only for me but for my developing baby makes it taste even better. The only reason I'm not giving this product a full 5 stars is because it doesn't contain Iron or DHA. 2 very important ingredients you need in a prenatal.. I did order both the Iron and Omega Prenatal supplements to add to my routine. All in all, I consider this product is a win.

Almost expired

I received the Mary Ruth’s prenatal and postnatal 32 ounce bottle on December 26, 2025. The Best Buy date on the bottom of the bottle reads 01/2026.

Product 5 stars! Shipping and packaging, meh…

This has to be one of the best tasting liquid prenatals on the market! I’m not current pregnant or expecting or breastfeeding… but as a mother of three I know how important taste is ESPECIALLY during pregnancy… when sometimes the slightest smells can spend you spiraling and running for the nearest toilet. The Morning sickness struggle is REAL. This also has my skin CLEAR. I normally have small hormonal break outs and I’ve been seeing less of those. Also feel way more energetic taking these.
My problem is the packaging and shipping! (I have this product on subscription) I LOVE that this comes in a glass bottle, I really don’t want them to change that, but almost every order is DAMAGED! And it’s not the bottle, it’s the LID! It’s always cracked! And I’ve gotten boxes that have barely any packaging material. Like just a sheet of crumpled shipping paper. At the most it’s double wrapped with a piece of tape, but that’s just not working. Honestly we need a different cap and more thoughtful packaging (including boxes that fit the size of the product/s). OR either fedex employees football players cause., sheesh! Customer service is always responsive and kind and will send out a new bottle asap. Overall 4.5 stars!

Not worth it

The flavor is nasty! I wanted to try it out instead of the other prenatals I have had which have all been pills but honestly this one has been the worst. Once I’m done with the bottle I won’t be purchasing again
