While a simple rinse with water may seem sufficient, we recommend washing your produce for any potential pesticide residue. 

 

Cleaning your fruits and vegetables shouldn’t take much time or be too intimidating — that’s why we’re sharing a very simple non-toxic recipe you can use to wash your produce.

DIY Non-Toxic Produce Cleaner Recipe

A basic and non-toxic way to wash your produce! 

 

Ingredients

  • 3 cups filtered water
  • 1 cup distilled white vinegar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

 

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a spray bottle & shake well.
  2. Spray your DIY mixture on produce and let sit for 2-5 minutes.
  3. Rinse produce thoroughly with water & store as needed.
