How it works

  • Digestive enzymes catalyze digestion, breaking down larger molecules into more easily absorbed particles.
  • This blend of lipase and protease was specifically created to support the digestion of fat-containing foods and proteins.
  • Your body naturally produces lipase and protease, and complimenting your body’s natural production with these enzymes may support your digestive wellness!
  • These capsules may be taken prior to a meal or may be taken on an empty stomach.

Important Message from MaryRuth's

Important: We genuinely care about all our customers, which is why we always suggest consulting with a physician or healthcare professional before starting any health supplement. Since all bodies are different, an individual’s nutrient needs are unique to their body. As such, results may vary. Children under 14, seniors over 65, those pregnant and/or lactating, those who suspect a medical condition and those who are taking any medications should always consult with a physician or healthcare professional prior to use. Discontinue use if any negative reaction occurs.

How to take

Suggested Use: Capsules can be taken digestively or systemically depending on the intent of usage. Digestively: Adults take 1 capsule at the beginning of a meal to promote proper digestion of fats and nutrients. Systemically: Adults take 1 capsule, up to 3 times a day on an empty stomach or as recommended by a physician or healthcare professional.

Keep out of reach of children in case of accidental overdose or choking.

Have A Question? Great, Ask Us!

Really. We are here to answer any question you may have.

What is with all the different kinds of enzymes? How do I choose which one to take?

Digestive enzymes catalyze digestion, breaking down larger molecules into more easily absorbed particles, thus supporting digestion and nutrient absorption. Different digestive enzymes specialize in the digestion of different molecules, like Lipase, for example, which works to break down fats and fat-containing foods like nuts, meats, dairy products and oils. Each blend of enzymes contains different ratios of various enzymes, to assist with various types of digestion. Consider what kind of digestive support you may benefit from, and consult with your physician or medical professional to determine which enzyme blend may be best for you.

What are these units of measurement for the enzymes?

When purchasing enzymes, it is important to notice how the units are measured on the supplement fact panel. With enzymes, listing the amount in weight, like milligrams (mg), is fairly meaningless because it doesn’t indicate the enzyme’s effectiveness. The Food Chemical Codex (FCC), which is created by the United States Pharmacopeia (USP), establishes the standard measurements for supplements. While most food or nutrients are based on weight, enzymes are measured by units of activity and potency, with no direct correlation between weight and units of activity. Proteases are measured in HUT (Hemoglobin Unit Tyrosine base). Amylase are measured in DU (Alpha-amylase Dextrinizing units); Lactase are measured in LacU (Lactase unit) and so forth.

Why didn’t you make liquid enzymes?

Well, we tried! At first we attempted making our enzymes liquid formulas, but we weren’t able to make it shelf stable. Then we attempted to make a powder that would be mixed into water, but that wasn’t very palatable! Ultimately, we determined that a capsule would have to suffice. We are, however, confident in these capsules, otherwise we wouldn't have made them!
