How to take

Suggested Use: Product naturally settles. Shake gently before use. Please avoid direct dropper contact to the skin or mouth in order to prevent product contamination and damage to the dropper. Do not exceed the recommended dose. Use the following dosage chart to assess dosage or dose as recommended by a physician or healthcare professional.

 

  • 1-3 Years: 0.75 mL

Used to be a 5 star product until they changed the formula

Our household loves Mary Ruth’s for many different products. Our top one being the liquid unflavored probiotics.
They seemed to have changed the formula, it is greasy and a terrible flavor.
Not sure what initiated the change but I
Will not be purchasing the liquid probiotic from them anymore.

I don't know what is going on with this product… I started using the probiotic a couple of months ago. The first bottle ended up looking moldy, which really scared me because I give this to my toddlers. I figured it was a fluke, although I did send pictures and an email to the company, even a follow up and still have not received a response back.

I tried again with two more bottles, each of them purchased from a different source/time. And opened BOTH to find what I believe to be mold. I have pictures, batch numbers… Not only have I decided to clearly not use this probiotic anymore, once I finish with all of the other vitamins I have purchased, I will not be using the entire brand anymore. After doing some research, it's clear that MRO is not what it used to be in terms of quality and really can't be trusted. Especially since they can't even bother to reply to an email pertaining to such an important issue.

For reference, the photo that shows the product in a bowl was not even close to that color when I first opened it. That was a bottle I had been using for about 2 1/2 weeks. The other photo is the second bottle I opened up, and then immediately tossed. There is yet another bottle after that Which shows gritty brown stuff on the glass pipette

3 bottles in a row had mold

I received 3 bottles and all had mold. I reported it each time and at first told me to just shake it up (what?!) but I wasn’t going to shake the mold into it, so they just sent a new bottle (same lot) and I continued to have the same issue. They won’t pull the lot. I decided to get a refund and go with a different brand for this product.

Used to be amazing

Unfortunately I won’t be using this liquid probiotic anymore. It was such a great product for me and my kids but they changed the formula and not only does it look bad but it tastes bad too. It used to be clear and had no flavor. I could barely choke it down without gagging. It used to be flavorless but not anymore. Such a bummer.

I noticed some changes to this liquid probiotic. What’s different?

There have been some updates to this product, and we are so excited about these changes as they are in line with many requests we’ve gotten over the years! First things first, we are thrilled to share that we are now including the CFU count! We know that the CFU is a meaningful piece of information for people selecting a probiotic product, and we are happy to be able to include it in our Supplement Fact Panel. Additionally, we are excited that we have added the probiotic strain Bacillus coagulans Unique IS-2® to the formula. We know that customers often look for specific strain types to guide their decisions when choosing a probiotic product, and we are happy to include this clinically studied, spore-forming probiotic in our proprietary probiotic blend, as research across all ages shows that this strain supports with digestion, gut health, and immune function! This proprietary probiotic blend now also has a new carrier liquid: MCT oil! With the mild, virtually flavorlessness of MCT oil the taste is very neutral and light, though you can expect a difference in the viscosity. One of the great benefits of this change is improved shelf and temperature stability; refrigeration not required! You’ll also notice some cosmetic changes to our packaging, but most excitingly, we are now using marked pipettes for easier and more precise dosing (no more counting out 60 drops)! This also means all the Suggested Use and Serving Sizes have been updated to mL measurements.

How should I use this? Can I take it with drinks or food?

Our liquid probiotic is easy to take directly by mouth or with liquid, avoiding hot liquids to preserve efficacy. May be taken any time of day, on an empty or full stomach. Based on your preference, some prefer to add it to the Liquid Morning Multivitamin in the morning, some prefer to take it later in the day or as recommended by your physician or healthcare professional.

Can my kids use the Liquid Probiotics too?

In general, everyone — children and adults — should check with their physician, pediatrician, or healthcare professional before beginning any new wellness supplement to make sure the supplement is suitable for their health. Your physician, pediatrician, or healthcare professional knows you and/or your children best, knows what other supplements or prescriptions you or your child are already on, as well as knowing if you, or your child, are facing any health challenges. If your child’s physician, pediatrician or healthcare professional feels the probiotics are suitable for the child, we recommend considering the dosages, broken down by age, on the box and label of the probiotics. Additionally, your respective provider can assist you in determining the appropriate dosage for your child.
