Move Forward Every Day With MaryRuth's Podcast: Episode 6

In the sixth episode of Move Forward Every Day with MaryRuth, MaryRuth sits down with her long-time friend, mentor, and fellow wellness coach, Fatima Lowe-Williams, for a heartfelt conversation about routines, grace, and letting love lead. The two begin by sharing their morning and evening routines, including Fatima’s inspiring “5-5-5-5" practice — five minutes each of meditation, journaling, prayer, and gratitude for her body.

Their conversation naturally flows into the importance of forgiveness and emotional regulation. Together, they explore how freeing your heart through forgiveness can open you up to more peace, clarity, and joy in your everyday life. They also remind listeners that giving yourself grace is essential — some days you’ll have 100% to give, and other days only 30%, and both are equally okay.

MaryRuth and Fatima also touch on how our bodies evolve through different seasons and how accepting these changes is an act of self-love. They reflect on the idea that sometimes we don’t have to “feel good” to get started — instead, by getting started, we allow ourselves a chance at beginning to feel good. As Fatima beautifully puts it, “Small hinges swing big and even heavy doors.”

To close, Fatima opens up about her journey to motherhood. After facing unexplained infertility, she and her husband embraced adoption and welcomed their daughter into their lives. Her story is a powerful reminder to “let love have the final say” and to trust that life’s timing often unfolds in beautiful, unexpected ways.
