It is with so much excitement and appreciation that we announce that we are a Certified B Corporation! 

This certification became official in the summer of 2023, and it is one that our company is so proud of.

B Lab has high standards to become B Corp Certified, measuring a company’s entire social and environmental impact. In order to get this certification, a business must:

• Demonstrate high social and environmental performance
• Make a legal commitment to be accountable to all stakeholders, not just shareholders
• Exhibit transparency by allowing information about their performance measured against B Lab’s standards to be publicly available

It was a long and arduous process to become B Corp Certified, and our entire team is so thankful to show our dedication to serving you, our wonderful community!

To achieve this certification, we have been recognized as meeting B Lab’s high standards for social and environmental impact. 

Based on the B Impact Assessment, we are proud to say that we earned an overall score of 81.6. The median score for ordinary businesses who complete the assessment is currently 50.9.

How We Did It

Since the beginning, we’ve always believed that wellness should be accessible to everyone. This is why we offer programs such as the WeCare Support Program, which offers our products at an ongoing discount for those in need, and why MaryRuth personally takes time out of her schedule each month to speak directly with our community during our Q&A Fireside Chats.

The following were some of our best assessment strengths, and we are working to continuously approve upon and add to each of these!

During the certification process, we were also able to establish our current greenhouse emissions and will be working to continuously improve by decreasing these numbers as much as we can.

Community

We maintain strong ethics practices and transparency to our community and employees. This includes dedicating resources to DEI and prioritizing volunteer services. Every team member even gets dedicated time off to volunteer each year!

Additionally, employees are trained on our mission and impact, and we are also sure to engage any key stakeholders.

Workers

Our employees receive a multitude of benefits such as retirement plan contributions, paid bonuses, and health and wellness initiatives, to name a few! 

In our annual surveys, high employee satisfaction is reported, and we always aim to improve in all areas and welcome all feedback from team members — even having an anonymous suggestion box for feedback at any time.

Environment

As a remote company, we create virtual office stewardship and maintain low carbon intensity from direct operations. We’re also continuing to develop a full GHG emissions inventory! 

We are increasing the percentage of USDA organic-certified products and non-GMO verified products. 

And, although it wasn’t part of our B Corp Assessment, we are also dedicated to increasing the number of products that are Clean Label Project Certified products, with 150+ and counting!
