How to take
Suggested Use: This product was formulated for infants & toddlers, ages 6 months to 3-years-old. Shake well before use. Once daily, add up to 30 drops (approx. 2/3 dropper) to your child’s food or drink.
Please avoid direct dropper contact to the skin or mouth in order to prevent product contamination and damage to the dropper.
Store in a cool, dry place.
To help preserve the flavor of the oil, we recommend refrigeration after opening.

While I love most of your products, the marketing on this is ABSOLUTELY FALSE. I bought this because it says "no fishy smell" but what it doesn't state is that it is actually worse than a fishy smell. My 2year old spits it out everytime I try to give it to him even when masked in any other drink/smoothie. I just feel like I wasted money buying this. So dissatisfied with this one!
** An update: My previous review was a little harsh on this product. After being educated about why the smell in Omega 3's by the Mary Ruth Customer Care team, i realised it really isn't something they can control. The product is actually pretty good and since using it i have seen some improvement in my toddler's concentration and activities in general. He also somehow got used to the taste and now takes it WITHOUT being mixed with anything (literally a miracle!). Thank you guys so much for all your amazing products.

If you are on the fence with this supplement, do yourself a favor and just buy it. I know a lot of brands say "flavorless" but they 100% have a flavor... Mary Ruths I can assure you does not taste bad. Even a picky toddler will eat it.

Despues de leer malos comentarios sobre su mal olor y sabor, decidí comprarlo aun asi porque realmente necesitaba este suplemento para mi bebé de 2 años y me sorprendí bastante, lo mejorado que ahora esta, sin mal olor y sin mal sabor, no tengo problemas para agregarlo a sus jugos de leches vegetales, muy buen producto. Why is this products now recommended for ages 6-12 months?
Based on our ongoing research into making the best possible products, we have determined that it is best to update our age recommendations for supplementing with infants going forward. The new suggested use for our infant products will be for infants aged 6-12 months, as the health considerations of infants up to six months are so much more variable and nuanced. If you are still interested in giving this product to your child, we recommend speaking with your pediatrician, physician, or healthcare professional to help you to determine if the product is suitable for your infant.
What amount of Omega-3s are there per serving?
Each 1 mL serving contains 378 mg of Algal Oil, which contains 208 mg of Omega-3s, with a breakdown of 200 mg of DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) and 2 mg of EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid).
What is your vegan Omega-3 source?
While many omega supplements use cod liver oil or another fishy source, our vegan Omega-3 Liquid Drops are sourced from Algal oil, which is derived from an ocean-friendly, wild strain of sustainably-grown micro-algae.
What is the purpose of the sunflower oil in this product?
The sunflower oil & sunflower lecithin in our Omega-3 Liquid Drops is used as a carrier for the antioxidants (Rosemary Extract, Vitamin C Palmitate, Mixed Tocopherols) which we add to the oil to stabilize the ingredient.
How do I know what an appropriate dose is when there are no recommended daily values?
It is true that there are no FDA recommendations for daily intake of Omega-3s, which makes it hard to know what an appropriate dose might be! Recommendations from health organizations for daily intake vary from 500-700 mg Omega-3 for ages 6 Months-3 years.
For Omega-3’s in general, RDAs are only recommended in the form of ALA for ages 1 and up, since this form of Omega-3 can convert to EPA & DHA in vitro. (See chart below).
